It feels like every time you open your eyes there’s another old-school silhouette set to go under the knife – the textile revolution for sneakers is well and truly here. We know the Air Jordan 1 is coming up, but first, Nike’s Dunk Low has received the Flyknit treatment with a complete reconstruction and three clean colourways – ‘Tiffany’ blue, black and white, and ‘Georgetown’ navy. Unlike the good ol’ leather dunks of yesteryear, these Flyknit Dunks might not be your go-tos for the board or court. It must, however, be acknowledged that the Flyknit keeps true to the OG Dunk structure, and wears the panelling and colourways with finesse. Leather on the tongue and lining holds it all together, and the rubber outsole has been reconstituted for extra traction.
There isn’t an official drop date for the Nike Dunk Low Flyknit, but expect them to be hitting Nike and select retailers very soon – we’ll keep you posted.
